Hank Baskett Got Hef's Permission To Propose

Us reports that Philadelphia Eagles player Hank Baskett, 26, sought permission from Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, 82, before proposing to his fiancee, Hefner's ex Kendra Wilkinson, 23.

"Hef is like a father to her so he's going to be the one to give her away," Baskett reportedly told an ABC affiliate in Philadelphia. "That's why I wanted his blessings and her mom's blessing."

Wilkinson was previously one of Hef's "girlfriends." She starred with the legendary publisher and his other former gals, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, on E!'s hit reality series, The Girls Next Door.

Wide receiver Baskett reportedly proposed to Wilkinson with a surprise engagement at the top of Seattle, Washington's famed Space Needle.

The lovebirds plan to be married in a ceremony at the Playboy Mansion on June 27, 2009.

There's just something slightly off about getting married on your 82-year-old ex-boyfriend's lawn.
