Happy Birthday to Miley Cyrus!!

Miley turns 17 today and went wild this weekend at her surprise birthday bash at New York City’s Canal room.

The Hannah Montana star celebrated her big day with family, friends, and “close friend” Liam Hemsworth at the 80s theme birthday party.

“The whole thing was a surprise,” says a source close to Cyrus, who enjoyed a performance by the cast of Broadway’s Rock of Ages and blew out candles on a custom-designed cake created by Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC’s Cake Boss.

Apparently, Miley isn’t a big fan of changing things up, she had a 80th theme party for her 15th birthday as well. “She loves the ’80s,” her mom Tish tells People. “The fashion, the big hair– she thinks it’s so funky.”
