The Harry Potter Cast Has 'Entertainment Weekly' Covered
Daniel Radliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint granted a cover interview for the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly to promote their sure-to-be smash Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince—and discuss what they plan to do with their lives once the long-running and hugely successful wizard movie franchise wraps up. (The trio are currently filming parts one and two of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last two installments of the series.)
The first thing Grint plans to do? Burn his Gryffindor House robe and get with some ladies.
"When you're 18, one of the worst things to be wearing while trying to chat up a girl on the set is a school uniform. You look like a kid! You’re not going to score dressed like that," explains Grint.
Watson seems to be going in a different direction and will be pursuing her higher education in America. (During a recent interview, co-star Radcliffe let slip that she'll be attending Brown University in Rhode Island this fall.) Her post-Harry Potter acting career, however, is still up in the air. "My world is still all about Harry Potter," she says. "I really can't see anything beyond it."
But Daniel Radcliffe is sure this is where he wants to be. "I have come to the conclusion that I am never happier than when I am on a film set," he says. "This is what I want to be doing. Totally. Absolutely. Unequivocally!"
The three also say that they've become very close through the series, but that may have not been such a good thing. Because of the tight bond they've formed over the years, Watson described the kissing scene between her and Grint as incestuous.
"Rupert is like a brother to me, and our relationship couldn't be more platonic. So kissing him—well, it felt like incest, to be honest," Watson admits. "But I think it's going to be very sweet [on screen]."
We can't wait to see the many sweet surprises in store for the rest of the Harry Potter movies!
