Hayden Panettiere: Ready to Get Footloose?
Will Chace Crawford be putting some fancy moves on Hayden Panettiere soon?
E! Online reports that Heroes star Panettiere has auditioned for the role of Ariel Moore in the upcoming remake of the ’80s dance epic Footloose.
The male lead was originally going to be filled by Zac Efron, but he dropped out and Gossip Girl hunk Crawford will most likely be filling the spot.
Panettiere recently sang for Footloose‘s makers, and “[t]hey were really impressed,” according to a source. “No one realized what a good singer she is.”
But Panettiere isn’t a shoo-in for the part just yet; Dancing With the Stars beauty Julianne Hough is also being considered for the role.

Julianne Hough definitely! I like them both, but Julianne is definitely a better dancer, hopefully a good singer!
I’m tired of hearing about this chick: Hayden has PEAKED.
I recall telling all my homies that she was a fine piece of 6 year-old ass in “Remember the Titans.” And then she was super sexy as a 16 year old in “Heroes.”
But call me crazy, I think ever since she hit 18 she’s gone from every man’s lolita fantasy-girl to a semi-dumpy, tired-looking B-List starlet.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d still let her play tug-o-war with my one-eyed-dragon, but I’m pretty sure I’d insist she turn the lights off.

Definitely Julianne, she can sing, dance, act, she can do choreography n she’s gorgeous!! IMO, she’s one of the most beautiful dancers on this planet.
I heard she got Swine Flu.
Definitely Hayden Panettiere. Julianne can dance but she isn’t a very good singer. Julianne also hasn’t shown any ability to act at all and her behavior on her dancing show has been disgusting this season. Love Hayden in anything she does!
Wow, this is a no-brainer. The best indvidual for the role is definitely Julianne Hough! She is overall an amazing talent and would bring life to the role. Also, for the lead guy role, her brother Dereck should be chosen for the role. He had done the role in London and did a fantastic job!

Hayden just doesn’t fit the role for me. If she had brown hair, I think she would make a good Rusty. I think Ariel needs to be tall and slinky, more of a Julianne. But then again, I heard that Julianne was a horrible actor and that they had to send her to acting classes. Hayden is a great actor, but I don’t think this is the role for her.
