Heath Ledger Wins Posthumous Golden Globe

on Jan. 11, 2009 06:25 PM / 1 Comment

In a bittersweet turn, Demi Moore has just presented a posthumous Golden Globe trophy to the late Heath Ledger.

The Dark Knight star has been honored all season long with nominations for his dark portrayal of The Joker, opposite Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart, taking last Thursday's Critics Choice Award and tonight's Globe.

Found dead in his Soho, New York City apartment last January, 28-year-old Ledger was survived by former partner Michelle Williams and his daughter Matilda, 3.

Christopher Nolan, director of the blockbusting Batman flick, delivered a somber acceptance speech on behalf of the Brokeback Mountain star.
