What’s this? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, emerging from Los Angeles International Airport yesterday without their trademark soulless perma-grins?

Clearly their scowly mugs aren’t the result of the paparazzi’s presence, as they’ve never met a camera lens they didn’t want to reach out and tongue-kiss.

So is there trouble in the house of Speidi? Kinda makes a person wonder if their recent punch-happy brawl wasn’t just another publicity stunt after all.

Maybe Pratt is sick of constantly lugging Jesus groupie Montag‘s cross for her.

Whatever it is, hopefully the two of them will be able to work things out in an appropriate manner sometime soon.
