TV Squad reports that actress/comedienne Amy Sedaris will create and star in a sitcom for 20th Century Fox TV.

This is wonderful news, seeing as Amy is one of the funniest women on the planet.

Amy’s last venture into television was Comedy Central’s Strangers with Candy, in which she played Geri Blank, a “user, a boozer, and a loser” who was an ex-junkie prostitute who went back to high school at the tender age of 47.

Sedaris’ comedy partner Paul Dinello and David Letterman‘s production company, Worldwide Pants, is also involved.
