'High School Musical 3' Is a Bloody Smash in England

on Oct. 3, 2008 12:49 PM / 2 Comments

Maybe Daniel Radcliffe shouldn't limit whipping his wand out to just Broadway.

Not only is Disney claiming that advance ticket sales for High School Musical 3: Senior Year are smashing records across the United Kingdom, but Brit cinema chain Odeon "said it had sold £245,205 [or roughly $500,000] in advance tickets, beating the record set by Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire," reports the BBC.

That might not seem like much compared to U.S. box office receipts. But keep in mind the massive size difference between the two countries.

And this is all before Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale even touch down in London for the U.K. premiere of HSM3.

Chow down on a chocolate croissant, kids—you've earned it!
