Use it to cover a headboard. It will become a focus point in the room. Dress the bed with a pastel pink colour. Use the different tones in the material to dress the room (Lamps etc). The furniture should be a light colour, or mirrored. Also to draw focus to the material on the headboard, use a mirror above the bed. Hope this helps, could always hire me to design rooms for you. I need a break haha! xo
I think as an accent, like pillows, a foot stool, a small chair, or maybe curtains for a small window (use a contrasting tie back). If you go too big with this print it will look too granny.
Depending on the room – you could make it into throw pillows for an accent piece. Or you can frame it as if it was a piece of artwork. The 1st thing I thought of was those plates that come in red and white prints (they come also in blue & white, brown & white also hopefully you know what i’m talking about I think they are called “red transferware dishes” google image it) so maybe get some of those plates put them on display in either a kitchen area or dining area and then get some pillows made to go with?
In post-Napoleon France you would have used a similar fabric to upholster furniture like a chaise lounge or a fauteuille (arm chair with “ears”). You can also make single wall panels stapling it on a wooden board with a foam mattress and put it behind your diaper changing table. Or you can use it for an old school photo and post card wall like so: http://www.sweetbabystylishmom.com/images/sm/englishrosememoboard.jpg
You could wrap it around a bulletin board and put a decorative edge with gold or decorative push pins and use it to put picture of family on it, and later your child’s artwork and love notes from you. I love mine with Mickey Fabris that we put vacation planning ideas on. Check them out on Pinterst.
