I made this cake for my boo today! Check back in tomorrow to see what the inside looks like!
Ingredients:
- 2 boxes white cake mix
- 24 oz. Sprite, 7Up or other clear soda
- Gel food coloring.
Directions:
Whisk cake mix and soda till dissolved. Divide batter into separate bowls. I did 3 for my Valentine’s cake— you’ll need a different bowl for each color. Stir in gel food coloring till you get the desired color in each bowl. Pour each color, one at a time on top if each other in greased cake pans. I used 2 pans, so I divided each color batter between them. Bake at 350 for 20-30 min, checking cakes with a toothpick to make sure they are done.

Have you ever tried jello cake? ITs so easy and you can use all different colors and flavors! you just bake the white cake according to the box let cool then poke holes and after mixing jello pour over cake let sink in then pour a little more put the cake in fridge for a couple hours and frost with whip cream! So amazing!

Make and bake the cake as directed on the box or in the recipe
2. Once cake is finished baking, let it cool to room temperature.
3. With a fork or knife, poke holes into the cake, making sure to get the sides and the middle.
4. Mix the Jello with 1 cup of hot water and 1 cup cold water. Stir until dissolved.
5. Take the Jello liquid and pour half of it over the cake. Let it sink in….then pour a little more in.
6. Place the cake in the refrigerator to chill for a couple of hours.
7. Spread Cool Whip over the cake when chilled.
