Apparently, Hugh Jackman thinks there might be something to these big-screen comic-book adaptations.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Jackman, whose latest film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, dominated the box office this weekend, has signed on to star in and produce the upcoming movie Ghostopolis, based on a graphic novel by author Doug TenNapel.
The story follows an employee of the government's Supernatural Immigrant Task Force whose tasked with sending ghosts who've escaped into the outside world back to Ghostopolis. The agent's job gets complicated, however, when a living boy is accidentally sent to Ghostopolis, forcing him to team up with a female ghost (and former girlfriend!!!!) to retrieve him.
No director has yet been chosen for the project, which will be produced through Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness' Seed Productions.
