Good news, Iron Man fans; director Jon Favreau and actors Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are due back for the big bucks feature adaptation‘s sequel.

Alas, the Hollywood Reporter notes that Terrance Howard, who starred as Jim Rhodes in the first film, won’t be suiting up for a second time.

“Marvel had no comment, but sources close to the deal said negotiations with Howard fell through over financial differences, among other reasons,” says the trade publication.

Meanwhile, Downey is currently shooting Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes in London, while Paltrow is still dumbfounded that Ritchie’s wife made her pay to watch her ride a whammy bar.
