Jack's Black Belt in Kung Fu Fighting

Getting into the spirit of his animated feature at Cannes, Jack Black joined a herd of fellow panda bears on the red carpet to show off his killer moves. Along with Angelina Jolie and Dustin Hoffman, the energetic star of Kung Fu Panda voices the role of Po, the lazy panda who finds himself in the awkward position of having to get off his fuzzy rear end and spring into Kung Fu action in order to defeat the evil snow leopard.

Here's a little sampling of what kind of moves Po's nemesis would have been facing, had Jack donned a panda suit and done the deal himself. "Death by cuddles" probably most accurately describes his fighting style.

Aaaaaaaaanyhoo... Today, Jack Black brought out the zany (you know, that thing he does) to promote his upcoming 3D animated flick Kung Fu Panda at the 61st Annual Cannes FIlm Festival.

The event entailed Jack, co-star Manu Payet, and a bunch of people dressed in chunky panda suits all kicking around and planting the the seeds of nightmares in our minds.

After the photocall, Jack and the pandas headed back to the pool to spend the afternoon doing c--k push-ups*.

Sleepless nights aside, the photos are pretty funny, so do take a look...”

“The cast of "Kung Fu Panda" walked the red carpet at Cannes today (nice film festival you have there fags), which meant the world was once again subjected to Jack Blacks hilarious antics. Oh, look. He’s doing a little thing there. Like kung fu. Get it? Because the movie is about kung fu. And I guess he’s maybe protecting a super pregnant Angelina from the press, who pose no threat in any way whatsoever. And he’s doing that with kung fu. You see, the joke begins with the premise of the movie, which is kung fu, so here Jack is doing a kung fu move, thus reminding the audience of the movie. Reminding people of things = super super funny. Hey, remember "Patriot Games"? That was also a movie. HAHAHA!

I do like the beard though, but only because it makes him look like one of those fat twins on the tiny motorbikes. He should have come out like that. See, just picturing that is already 10 billion times funnier than anything Jack Black has ever done.

“I think the memory of Angelina Jolie emanating the death look (circa Girl Interrupted) is permanently imprinted on my memory, because every time I see her wearing pastel or smiling innocently I have to do a quadruple take.

Kinda makes sense that Ange's finally warming up to the whole cartoon thing after a lifetime of R-rated masturbation-friendly action-hero dramz. Then again, the 'tigress' character she plays in this film is described as the most 'overachieving, brave, fearless, and heroic' of all kung fu masters. Go figure.”
