Jade Goody Prepares Her Sons for the End
As Jade Goody reaches the end of her battle with cancer, the dying reality star is preparing her family—particularly sons Bobby, 5, and Freddy, 4—for the inevitable.
People magazine reports that 27-year-old Big Brother alum Goody has set aside some of her belongings and letters for her boys to be passed onto them. According to one source, she has also asked her mother, Jackiey Budden, not to let her sons witness her demise.
The items in the “memory box” that Goody has prepared for Bobby and Freddy include “loads of letters” she’s written to them, along with copies of her TV shows and the fitness DVDs that she’s made.
Those aren’t the only things that Goody is leaving to her sons. AFP reports that she’ll be publishing her diaries of her dying days, which will serve as a “love letter” to the boys.
The book, to be titled Forever in My Heart, will be “Jade in her own words,” according to HarperNon-Fiction managing director Belinda Budge. “It is impossible not to be moved by her heart-warming voice which comes through loud and clear on every page of this last diary.”
Goody, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer since last August, was released from the hospital and sent home last week. Since then, family and friends have been visiting her to say their final goodbyes.
