Jake Gyllenhaal Wants Kids of His Own

Supersensitive new-male thespian Jake Gyllenhaal knows the way to a woman's heart is to let the world press know you want her to bear your children.

A close pal of the crafty Brokeback Mountain star recently confided to OK! that girlfriend Reese Witherspoon is Jake's pick for furthering the Gyllenhaal genetic trail.

According to the friend, Jake "knows he might be jumping the gun thinking of kids, but he knows that Reese is the one."

Reese already has a pair of children—Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4—with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Chances are the traditional southern belle has no intention of saddling her kids with any bastard stepsiblings, so Jake had better move along those marriage plans.

Jake has been a good uncle to his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal's daughter Ramona, but is he daddy material?

I think eventually you come to a place where you know what you want and seeing what we saw on the set, he was certainly completely devoted to her and really loves her," says Ryan Kavanaugh. I believe he's talking about the 2007 film "Rendition" where their love was kindled. Or a best girlfriend was. I'm still undecided at this point.”

Jake reminds me of a girl I broke up with because she kept leaving tear drops on my pillow. She was prettier than Jake, of course.
