James Franco Joins General Hospital Cast
Oct 1, 2009 at 4:30pm
In today’s “WTF?!!?” casting news, Soaps in Depth reports that James Franco will be joining the cast of General Hospital for two months.
Yes, that James Franco. The one who, you know, has a very successful movie career and has no need for playing around with soap operas?
A source says that Franco—who’s also currently taking classes at Columbia University and NYU—will be on the set one day a week, during which time he will film several episodes. A rep for the long-running soap says that Franco’s first airdate will be Friday, November 20.
Let us know in the comments section: Does this make any kind of sense? At all?

Jamie bb, what’s wrong with you? Why would you do this?
As a long time gh-er I don’t dare ask “why”…. I’m just thrilled to see what he’ll be doing and that its giving the show a chance at gaining some new viewers and a ratings boost :)

this better be some sort of research for an upcoming film.
