James Franco Has a Lot of, Uh, Free Time
James Franco doesn't shy away from revealing exactly how he, er, pleasures himself while on the road.
The Freaks and Geeks stud was recently questioned about a scene in his upcoming film, 127 Hours, which shows James' character (based on real-life climber Aron Ralston) pleasuring himself against a rock after he was trapped under a boulder in the desert for several days.
When asked by the reporter if James would have done the same thing under those circumstances, the actor gave an incredibly revealing answer:
[laughs] OK. You asked the question. [pause] I spend a fair amount of time alone, especially when I travel maybe to something like this or for work or whatever, but I’m in hotels a lot for a lot of my life. And I don’t mind it because I have a lot of stuff to do on my own. I have a lot of reading to do for school or whatever. [pause, laughs] You asked! So, when I’m alone, I do masturbate a lot. I don’t know why. It’s like you have those days where it’s just like, I have a ton of writing to do, or a ton of reading to do, and you’re just like, OK, I’m going to be on the couch all day or in bed all day just doing that… I tend to have a four- or five-time day. [breaks out laughing] So, I probably would have if I was stuck under a rock.
You have to respect his refreshing honesty.

James is probably alone so often because he is often traveling for both school and work. The 32-year-old actor recently completed two graduate degrees from both Columbia University and New York University and he is reportedly pursuing a PhD at Yale and a graduate art degree at RISD. James recently showed a collection of his art work in New York under the title, "The Dangerous Book Four Boys."
