Jason Priestley Gets Direct With '90210'

Fans of 90210 are being deprived of a Luke Perry cameo, but Jason Priestley will be taking part in the series—albeit in a directorial capacity.

Entertainment Weekly says that the former Brandon Walsh has agreed to helm this season's 18th episode, which is scheduled to air next spring.

EW also says that, despite earlier reports, Shannen Doherty will most likely be returning for two more episodes this season; 90210 executive producer Gabe Sachs says that she's "in talks," while another source asserts, "[S]he's coming back. The deal isn't officially done, but it's happening."

If Priestley ends up directing one of the episodes Doherty appears in, he should proceed with caution. Word is that the little hellcat has a tendency to go overboard.

As for directing the other ladies of the show, Jason would be well advised to use a special magnifying lens on the camera.
