Jennifer Lopez Decides Jewelry is Free

Isn't this ordinarily known as "theft?"

Page Six reports that divalicious Jennifer Lopez recently neglected to return $50,000 worth of Robert Mouwad diamonds after wearing them to a fashion launch in Beverly Hills last week. Here's a pic of here from that event. Note the earrings, bracelet and ring.

Lopez, along with her friend Leah Remini, Gwen Stefani and Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo all wore items by the jewelry designer to the launch of designer Andrea Lieberman's new clothing line ALC.

The only difference is that the other three ladies gave back their expensive accessories to Mouwad. Lopez apparently decided that wearing the jewelry in public was payment enough for them and kept them.

"We received a call from [her manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry," a Mouwad rep said. "As far as Mr. Mouawad is concerned, Jennifer can have whatever she wants, but a premature demand seemed presumptuous."

Whatever she wants?

Isn't she the one who's always denying she acts like a diva?

The Mouwad rep was quick to cover up Lopez's interesting definition of "borrowing."

"Mr. Mouawad is the Swiss billionaire who purchased the 60-carat flawless Mondera Diamond for $50 million," the rep continued. "He will lose no sleep over $50,000, and frankly, Jennifer's endorsement is priceless."

Benny Medina says that the jewelry was part of J.Lo's payment for reportedly hosting the event.

"She was the only celebrity whose name was on the invite. She would have done it for nothing," Medina says. "But this was how it was presented. It was quite a generous offer."
