New mom Jennifer Lopez made an unexpected appearance at Staten Island, New York's P.S. 37 alternative school to help a group of autistic youngsters kick off their summer vacation.
The students had planned to commemorate the end of the school year with a song and dance replicating J.Lo's "Let's Get Loud" video. Teacher Kathy Amati encouraged her class to send Jennifer letters, requesting autographs or photos. But the kids expected more.
"From the minute we wrote the letters," Amati said, "they just automatically thought she would come."
The kids knew best. They were thrilled, but not surprised, that Jen squeezed in time to celebrate with them before flying off to accompany husband Marc Anthony on a European concert tour.
The jet-setting pop star and hubby are seen arriving in Belgium with twins Max and Emme in tow. Unless those bundles are decoys to bolster Marc's claim that the couple is a nanny-free household.

“The kids don’t even really understand how famous she is. They just really like her singing and dancing."
