Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony: Valentine Divorce?
A so-called friend of singer-actress Jennifer Lopez, 39, and her husband, 40-year-old singer-actor Marc Anthony, has confessed to the New York Daily News that the couple is divorcing.
High-profile couples split up like anyone else. The extraordinary and hard-to-swallow claim of this story is that the couple intend to announce their split from the stage of New York City’s Madison Square Garden during a Valentine’s Day concert.
The proud parents of twins Emme and Max (who will be eight days shy of their one-year birthday on February 14) supposedly have a scheme to announce the breakup news for the greatest possible impact:
“Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.”
The couple were married in a private ceremony in June of 2004 and lately have been weathering rumors of a split. The main cause cited is Anthony’s controlling nature.
The couple were spotted dining together earlier this month in Hollywood. Everything seemed firmly under control—and maybe that is the problem!
Then again, this entire story may be Jen and Marc’s way of laughing at the haters.
