Jennifer Lopez’s Restaurant Is Closed

Jul 10, 2008 at 1:01pm

Jennifer Lopez hasn’t made an official announcement, but it appears as though Madre’s, her Pasadena, California, restaurant, has been closed permanently.

TMZ reports that a sign in the window reads “Madre’s will be closed…starting July 1, 2008, until further notice.” Was there a health code violation? Or does she just not have enough family and friends out on the West Coast to come in and support the place?

J. Lo is currently diva-ing her way around Europe, accompanied by her new twins and her pale husband Marc Anthony. At least, the twins started the trip with her. Mama Lopez was recently spotted cleaning out the stores in Portofino, Italy, with Marc and sans kids.

Those children must be remarkably self-sufficient to be left alone like that while Mommy buys her 36,000th pair of shoes.
