Jessica Alba: Duh, Sweden's Neutral Too!
Mama Bear Jessica Alba has taken to her MySpace Celebrity blog today to address her rub with FOX anchor Bill O'Reily. last week during the madness of President Obama's inauguration.
"I want to clear some things up that have been bothering me lately," the 27-year-old writes, "I find it depressing that in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country's history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity."
The stupidity she refers to comes from a comment made in between trading barbs with O'Reilly last week during President Obama's inauguration, where she tried to express neutrality as "Sweden," whereas a more common analogy is Switzerland.
"Last week, Mr. Bill O'Reilly and some really classy sites, i.e.TMZ, insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country," said Alba, "it's so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland."
She then links to Sweden's Wikipedia page, where you can learn all about their own share of fence-sitting.
Alba also offers up this insider's look at her Inaugural weekend:
Legendary writer/producer Norman Lear calls Alba "incomparable," as her husband Cash Warren shoots footage of their historic trick. We doubt O'Reilly will have to Wikipedia that phrase.
