Jessica Simpson Pulls Out the Daisy Dukes
The bad-jean photo era is over. Jessica Simpson is bringing back the Daisy Dukes.
The singing sensation busted out her signature Dukes for the Florida Strawberry Festival on Sunday.
Hard to believe it was only a month ago that Simpson was dealing with critics carping about some pictures with some very unflattering jeans. Those days are forgotten.
Simpson wowed the local critics, who sometimes forgot she was supposed to be singing for entertainment. “Your quadriceps were like bronzed steel in a pair of shorts cut so high the pockets flopped to freedom,” a poetic writer from the St. Petersburg Times noted. Amen to that!
There was no mention of the flannel shirt and the white corset she was wearing with the jean shorts on stage. Everyone was apparently just staring at her fabulous legs.
While the Florida writer wished for a change of clothes “so we’d have something new to look at,” Jessica didn’t oblige there. But she did give a very obvious reason for leaving stage after one number.
“I gotta go pee,” Jessica told the audience. T.M.I.
