Jessica Simpson to Show You Her Panties
Jessica Simpson plans to supplement her already successful line of makeup, handbags, sunglasses and swimwear with a line of lingerie. Simpson will reportedly launch a line of panties, bras and sleepwear in the spring of 2009, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
“I like different lingerie for different occasions,” she said of the upcoming Jessica Simpson Intimates collection. “I think that’s the best thing about it. You can feel sexy or girlie depending on your mood.”
No word on whether her creepy shadow dad Joe Simpson had any hand in the designs. Or if he asked to see her in them.
Jessica’s current mood is decidedly yee-haw, since her “Come on Over” recently broke a Billbord record for highest debuting country single by a solo artist. She also made an appearance at last weekend’s CMA Music Festival in Nashville.
Her last pop effort, 2006′s A Public Affair, sold only 300,000 units in the U.S., so it’s a safe bet that Simpson hopes singing about pickup trucks, putting your dog down and that honky- tonk slut sipping on Jack Daniels and trying to steal her man will revive her music career.
Simpson’s fashion franchise is licensed with the Camuto Group, and they are projecting initial revenues of $300 million.
This probably takes the sting out of having all your film projects go straight to DVD and your boyfriend Tony Romo trying to skip out on you, huh, Jess?
