Now that he's probably about to make the old man a grandpa, it's about time that John Mayer met face-to-face with Jennifer Aniston's father.

Star Magazine reports that Mayer, 31, took a major leap in his reignited relationship with Jen yesterday, sitting down to a meal with her dad, 75-year-old Days of Our Lives actor John Aniston and his second wife, Sherry Rooney.

The summit took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Polo Lounge. A witness tells the mag that "Jen's dad seemed very impressed with John and the two got on real well," even though the little punk had his paws all over his daughter the whole time.

"They couldn't keep their hands off each other," a source revealed.  At one point Aniston, 37, "was even seen feeding him a vegetable off her fork." The meal included cocktails, a shared salad and fish entrees for the young lovebirds.

Mayer only let his cool veneer slip when Jen slipped off to powder her nose.

"How am I doing?" he asked his possible future in-laws before confessing, "I am a wreck."

Mayer admitted to Pa Aniston that the nerve-wracking experience "feels like Dancing with the Stars."

That's right, Mayer; and if you keep groping at his daughter in front of him, it might be just as dangerous as Dancing With the Stars too.
