The Denver Post is reporting that John Mayer broke up with Jennifer Aniston via text message!

"She is so intent on getting married and having children, he felt hemmed in. After a 20-minute phone conversation, he just said, 'I can't take it anymore,' and hung up. Then he texted, 'That's it—the end,'" a source says.

Aniston herself is claiming (via friends) that SHE was the one who ended things.

John was recently photographed outside Nobu dressed all in black and looking glum and furtive.

If this text message story is true, he should be dressed in black. He needs to mourn for the death of any class he used to have. Class? Just kidding!

John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are going in different directions in their personal and professional lives. Clearly Mr. Mayer is not ready to settle down yet because he feels he hasn't reached his musical peak. His brooding, introspective attitude makes it hard for me to believe someone as vivacious as Jennifer Aniston would want to date him and perhaps become serious. Friends? Yes. Lovers? No. And if Mayer truly texted his good-bye, than his is a coward.
