John Mayer asked his Twitter friends to emulate famed writer Ernest Hemingway and come up with a six word sentence that tells a story. His offering?

"This heart didn't come with instructions."

Is he participating in a fun competition with his online pals or is he speaking about what is rumored to be his latest breakup with Jennifer Aniston?

Mayer and Aniston reportedly split for the second time in eight months post-Oscar appearance when Aniston returned from a European promotional tour for her movie Marley & Me.

Sources tells The Sun that Aniston was the one who pulled the plug this time.

“They had a great time at the Oscars, but he seemed to go cold right after," the source said.

Aniston was also said to be hurt that Mayer has alleged that he was the one who ended things. Again.

“It’s humiliating. To say her feelings are hurt is an understatement,” the source added.
