Justin Bieber and Kanye West Collaboration Confirmed

Aug 18, 2010 at 3:30pm

Justin Bieber and Kanye West won’t just be sharing the MTV Video Music Awards stage—they’ll also be sharing a recording studio soon.

The “Baby” singer and the 808s & Heartbreak rapper will definitely be recording a song together, according to Wu-Tang Clan rapper Raekwon, who will also be collaborating on the tune.

Raekwon reveals to XXL magazine,

“It’s definitely gonna happen. When you got these kinda talents merging together to do something exciting, I think it’s something that’s gonna make the fans check it out…Yeezy called me and we gon’ make it pop…And we gon’ make a hit. Justin got his own fan base and Me and Yeezy got our own fan base and we gon’ make it happen. We gon’ make a good record.”

The collaboration first took root via (how else?) Twitter, when West and the Biebs tweeted their appreciation for each other’s music. Before too long West asked Bieber if he’d like to work on a song with him and Raekwon, to which the 16-year-old replied,

“Me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC. Might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo is living the dream. Thanks.”
