Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus to Remake ‘Grease?’
Starring in a 3D concert movie isn’t cutting it for Justin Bieber. The teen dream wants to remake the much-loved musical Grease, with none other than Miley Cyrus as his leading lady.
“It’s been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny,” Biebs told Britain’s The Sun.
With Biebs in the John Travolta role of tough guy/closet romantic Danny Zuko, he’s gunning for Miley as the object of his affection, Sandy Dumbrowski, (played in the film version by Olivia Newton-John.)
“I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation,” he said. “She can sing, dance and act.”
While he’s in casting mode, Baby Biebs also suggests vocal powerhouse Susan Boyle step in as a musically-inclined Principal McGee and hints that his crush, Cheryl Cole, “would look great in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform.”

This is just a horrible joke. It probably doesnt help that I cant stand either of these kids but just because you are famous does not mean A: you can act and B: you deserve to be in any movie you would love to see remade. All I can hope is hollywood is not listening and does not touch this with a 10 foot poll. Unless their goal is to ruin a classic movie almost everyone loves.

So he says Miley can sing, act, and dance? My personal opinion is that she CANNOT sing….she screeches instead. How much of her acting abilities have we actually seen besides putting on a blonde wig? And she can dance….on a pole only i’m guessing. No disrespect to both of them because lets face it….they’ve got things going for them. It’s just that just because Justin is the new teen hearthrob doesnt mean he can pull off danny, and sandy is supposed to be sweet and innocent….not so sure miley can pull that one off either. All im saying…is that if they do it….get ready for a whoole lot of bashing. If ur gna remake a CLASSIC….at least do it with people who can actually been seen making it. Again, i’m not hating….just stating my opinion. Good luck to both of them in whatever they do though.

i agree I’m IN LOVE with Justin and Miley is awesome, but Grease is the movie. Classic movie my ass, the movie already screwed over the original musical, and the new musical is awful in comparison (even compared to the film) so why do people care all of the sudden what ruins Grease? As far as the casting, when did it become OK to cast anyone who’s popular in films even if they suck and wouldn’t fit the parts?

Justin Bieber opened up to UK’s The Sun to discuss his plans to remake Grease with Miley Cyrus. The Biebs’ big foray into the realm of movies with The Karate Kid and his February 2011 biopic has sparked his desire to play John Travolta’s character, Danny, from the 1978 classic Grease.

I say “GO FOR IT BIEBER!!!” “Grease” was such a classic, and still is, that it deserves to be remade. The remake doesn’t necessarily have to be as great as the original, or as good as the people who were around to see it think it is. I just think that it should be introduced to the kids who are to young to remember it.

I love them both but grease is one of my favourite movies and they would completely destroy it.
I actually think that is a fabulous idea. Keep updating the classics, like Jesus Christ Superstar does. Also, Miley would make a perfect Sandy – she has that wonderfully innocent face with sexy overtones. I say on with the remake of Grease….keep it current!

To this point, I’ve tolerated “Bieber fever”, even though I can’t understand for the life of me, this guy’s appeal….but for him to play Danny Zuko in “Grease”, would be so tragic, I can’t even begin to explain it…..if it happens, it has to one of the signs of the Apocalypse…..
