Kanye West Apologizes For Crashing Taylor Swift’s VMA Speech
Kanye West must’ve figured out how “heartless” he appeared when he interrupted Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards – he blogged an apology not long afterward.
West stormed the stage as Swift was graciously picking up the trophy for Best Female Video for “You Belong With Me.” As the adorable country star appeared shocked and near tears, West ranted about how the trophy should’ve gone to Beyonce. Furious fans began chastising West on Twitter and other platforms immediately.
Always one to sense public opinion (but never when to use lowercase letters), West took to his blog even before the show aired on the West coast. He wrote:
I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! I LIKE THE LYRICS ABOUT BEING A CHEERLEADER AND SHE’S IN THE BLEACHERS! …………………… I’M IN THE WRONG FOR GOING ON STAGE AND TAKING AWAY FROM HER MOMENT!…………….. BEYONCE’S VIDEO WAS THE BEST OF THIS DECADE!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FANS IF I LET YOU GUYS DOWN!!!! I’M SORRY TO MY FRIENDS AT MTV. I WILL APOLOGIZE TO TAYLOR 2MRW. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!!!! I agreen with BeBroH. Im sure Beyonce did not appreciate the light cast on her and neither did Taylor.
