Newest American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has responded to recent comments by Paula Abdul in which she said that four judges was one too many.
"Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person,” Kara told Access Hollywood.
Kara, a producer and songwriter, was added to the American Idol judging panel at the beginning of this season, leading to speculation that the occasionally out-of-it Paula might be on her way to the Home Shopping Network permanently.
In an interview with OK!, Abdul said that she doesn't think a fourth judge was necessary.
“We tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show,” Abdul said.
Ouch.
Abdul's rep said that she was merely talking about a previous attempt at having four judges, and not DioGuardi.
Nevertheless, DioGuardi says that she is "proud" of her accomplishments on the show.
Couldn't they just make amends with each other by hating Tatiana together?
