All a gal needs to turn her frown upside-down is a nice day at the salon.

Why, look at champion Dancing with the Stars babe Karina Smirnoff.  Sure, her partner on this season's show, Rocco DiSpirito, was axed last week for having all the coordination of a one-legged hobo. Does this get Karina down? Never!!

And, yes, Karina embarked on a failed romance with Mario Lopez that crashed and burned with the intensity of a hundred suns—no, make that a thousand suns.  Do you see her contemplating a dive off a downtown L.A. high-rise? No!!!

Also, when this dancing sensation discovered that her man had a secret row of women's shoes in his closet, she didn't guzzle a fistful of pills...

Well, okay, she did go on national TV and cry about the incident. But still, she mixed tears with a smile.

Karina Smirnoff, folks, is a beacon of happiness. The world could learn a lot from her example.

Uh, oh...wait...did that guy just cut six inches off your hair by mistake?
