Kate Beckinsale Needs a Stunt Butt

Kate Beckinsale is unhappy with the size of her bottom. The gorgeous—and delusional—actress is convinced that her backside is too big, the Daily Mail reports, so producers on her new film Whiteout were forced to bring in a stunt booty—at a cost of $2,000 a day double—for shower scene.

"Kate has a terrible self-image," a source tells the paper. "She thinks she is fat, and she is always complaining how certain outfits make her bottom look big. Of course, the reality is that she has the most amazing body.

"The script called for her character to be filmed nude in a shower, focusing in on her bottom and thighs. Kate insisted on a double being hired. She was quite open on the set about not liking her body and said she particularly loathed her bottom and was not comfortable baring it."

Beckinsale, 34, reportedly suffered from anorexia in her teen years and has been open about her issues with Hollywood's portrayal of women's bodies.

"Everybody is retouched, stretched, lengthened, slimmed and trimmed. I could look at a picture of myself from the past and think, 'Why don’t I look like that now?'  It's because I never have," she had said to Glamour magazine.

Beckinsale once came close to baring her assets in 1994's Uncovered.

In the $25 million Whiteout, Beckinsale plays a U.S. marshall chasing a killer in Antarctica. She may be chasing a vicious murderer in the snowy wastelands, but there's always time for a hot shower scene!
