Kate Hudson Sparkles for Letterman
Kate Hudson, 29, is on a major promotional push for her new film with Anne Hathaway, 26, (Bride Wars), which led to her guesting on David Letterman Monday night.
Hudson was photographed outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City wearing a semi-backless, sequined Emilio Pucci minidress. Goldie Hawn‘s daughter graciously signed autographs for fans before heading inside.
Hudson made sure that Letterman gave her a big kiss on the lips and claimed that she didn’t receive one on New Year’s.
And when Letterman brought up co-star Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend troubles (her ex Rafaello Follieri recently went to prison for four years for fraud), a caught off-guard but giggling Hudson joked that “surprises in life” are awesome.
Kate also discussed her son Ryder’s schooling, and her wedding war movie which she produced.
Recently, while promoting the film, Hudson was asked how men communicate with each other differently as opposed to women.
In Bride Wars, Kate and Anne play best friends who come to war when their weddings are booked on the same day and at the same place. The ladies eventually (judging by the trailer) come to blows over it.
Hudson told the Chicago Tribune that even though she feels women are more communicative than men, she has male friends who call her when they’re having relationship problems.
“They talk to their girlfriends. I have my guy friends call me, and they’re like girls. They’re like, ‘Hey, can you talk?’ They talk to their girls. They don’t talk to boys about it. I know my brothers, they talk to me. They don’t talk to their friends,” Hudson said.
Spending all this time talking to her platonic male friends is probably what’s keeping Hudson single.
