Ditch the Dairy and Skip the Spice
Dukan Diet’s celebrity nutritionist Simone Gloger — who has guided A-listers ranging from Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz to Kate Middleton through the diet’s nutrition plan — recommends eliminating dairy during those crucial pre-event days. “This food group is one of the hardest for the body to digest — dairy causes bloating, acne and dark circles under the eyes in a lot of people, leaving you less than camera-ready,” Gloger says. Also on the do-not-eat list before a big event? Spicy foods. “Heat-producing spices such as chipotle, chili and cayenne can cause rosacea flair ups and reddening of the skin—not so great for your red carpet moment,” Gloger explains.
