Katie Holmes' Broadway debut isn't yet the theatrical sensation producers had hoped for.
MSNBC reports that ticket sales for Holmes' starring stint in Arthur Miller's All My Sons have fallen short.
“You can’t say it’s the economy,” says the source, “because shows like Mamma Mia are selling out.”
Is it because Katie has evolved from TV's adorable sweetheart into Tom Cruise's pale and submissive Stepford Wife?
“It’s not that Katie’s bad in the part. The producers are just getting the feeling people still want to view Katie as sweet little Joey Potter," the source says.
Nonsense, says the production's publicist.
“That information is totally false. There is a healthy advance for the show, and there is no chance of the run being shortened,” she says.
The show opens on October 16. Dawson's Creek stalwarts hope it lasts through the weekend.

I agree with WWTDD. Why is the blame for poor ticket sales being blamed soley on Katie Holmes? It's not like it's a one-woman show. There is a whole cast who should share equally in any blame.
