Katie Holmes is being drawn to dark forces. And no, it has nothing to do with Xenu.
E! Online reports that Tom Cruise's gal has signed on to star in Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, an upcoming thriller penned by The Hobbit and Hellboy scribe Guillermo del Toro.
The movie is based on a 1973 TV movie about a woman who moves in with her father and his girlfriend, only to discover that—gasp!—there's someone, or something, else in the house too.
The movie will begin filming this summer in Melbourne, Australia.
Sounds like little Suri will be paying a visit Down Under soon. Hope they're ready for her.
