Katie Holmes: Gossip About Her Family Is 'Disgusting'

Katie Holmes is Glamour's coverlady for April, and in the accompanying interview she lashes out at some of the stories that have been written about husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri.

"Some of the stuff [people said] was such absolutely horrible things to say about a child. It was so uncalled for and so disgusting. Enough is enough."

She even issues an invite for nay-sayers to come and dine with the family.

"Why don't you come over and have dinner? See what there is to see."

Most of the interview concerns what it's been like for Holmes to raise Suri, and what motherhood has meant to her.

Holmes says that being a mom "has been the most amazing experience – in an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it's the most important job in the world."

Katie says that husband Tom has been there for her.

"During the first couple of days [with Suri], we would just sleep right next to her to make sure she was breathing. And I was constantly learning on the job, but Tom was very helpful and supportive."

Holmes is currently filming a new movie in NYC called The Extra Man. And the shoot is unhampered by another impending Cruise-Homes collaboration.

"I'm not pregnant right now," Holmes states.
