Katie Holmes‘ super-secret partnership with Miu Miu has finally come to fruition, and here’s a sneak peek at her first ad for the Italian design house!

Holmes, 30, is serving as the official spokesmodel for Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2009 campaign, following in the footsteps of actress-turned-models Lindsay Lohan, ,Kirsten Dunst and Drew Barrymore. (Holmes was immediately preceded by Johnny Depp‘s significant other, Vanessa Paradis.)

The Federico Fellini-inspired ad, shot by lensmen Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York last November, features Suri‘s mom in a graffiti-ed day dress designed by Miu Miu honcho Miuccia Prada.  The image is intended to reflect a “luminous icon radiating a sense of mystery and theatricality,” notes UK Vogue.

Mission accomplished! And modeling high-end Italian threads is certainly a cushier gig than some of the career options that Holmes has been considered for lately.
