Katie Holmes’ Play Is Broadway’s Highest Grosser

Sep 30, 2008 at 1:39pm

Katie Holmes had a rough start in New York’s theater world. But after some early buzz, it seems she’s turned into Broadway’s grossest—and that’s a good thing!

Katie’s play All My Sons is raking in the big bucks according to the AP: “Last week, the Arthur Miller drama was the highest-grossing play on Broadway, with $684,002 for its first full week of eight preview performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.”

Looks like all that practice paid off. Or perhaps it was Tom Cruise‘s enthusiasm that sold the seats?

Or maybe just maybe, Suri Cruise has hypnotized the masses with her dark magical powers?

Notice that the kid is always being carried everywhere. Is she controlling TomKat, or is all the heavy lifting inspired by guilt for sending their daughter to live in a dungeon?

In any event All My Sons is poised to be a smash hit. Brava Katie!
