Tuesday brought the shocking scandal that Katy Perry‘s mom bows her head in disgust and prays every time her daughter’s lez jam “I Kissed A Girl” plays on the radio.

But that’s not so, says the 23-year-old singer in a new video blog.

“I don’t know who that reporter was talking to or whose mom he was talking to, but definitely not talking to mine. My parents were at my last three shows in California…I think that people are crazy and wanting to make up headlines.”

Katy also denies that Lindsay Lohan nixed a photo op with her after Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Hmmm. This kind of makes the Miley Cyrus/Mandy Jiroux collaborations seem like Masterpiece Theater.
