Katy Perry Tells the World to Back Off on Travis
Decked out in an old-school off-white dress, Katy Perry was snapped while leaving Los Angeles nightclub the Office on Monday night.
Earlier in the evening, the “Hot N Cold” singer, who was feeling under the weather, performed an acoustic set at Los Angeles venue Hotel Cafe. And she wasn’t shy about letting her emotions hang out, reports People.
Grammy nominee Perry, 24, recently split from her boyfriend Travis McCoy, 27, of Gym Class Heroes.
“It hurts right now,” she softly told the audience at her Monday L.A. gig. “When you break up with someone you move on. You don’t really want to move on…but you have to because they don’t give you any choice. But I’m over it!”
Ironically, the pop star’s brand new single off her One of the Boys album is called “Thinking of You.”
Meanwhile, on her Buzznet blog, Katy lashed out Tuesday morning at media reports dealing with the McCoy breakup.
“I don’t give statements about my personal life. The stories read about the things I say introducing some of my songs are merely to explain the forth coming song,” Perry writes.
“I enjoy being myself on stage and that’s what you expect of me. I have made many of the same introductions before…just lately everyone’s dissecting my every word. Understandable. When I wanna share something with the world, the world will know… otherwise, stop looking for a story, or an explanation.”
