Katy Perry Thinks the Swine Flu Is All Kinds of Hilarious

The "I Kissed a Girl" singer has taken to her blog to show off a piece of bling she purchased while inspired by the swine flu outbreak.

"Since swine flu is super trendy I wanted to make sure I was in style with my swine flu ring!" Perry writes. "I got this one in Miami at Big Drop the other day…a flying piggy. Perfect."

Haha, hilarious! What, no matching SARS pendant or malaria brooch? Stay classy, girl.

oh come on. It's a ridiculous media hype, what's wrong with a star having fun with it. granted I detest katy perry and her perverse view of sexual politics, but this shouldn't be considered awful or anything- just as stupid as anything she does

LMAO.....I think the funniest thing about media hype and all nonsense the news puts out..{the funniest of all} is reading all the bitching, moaning and gripping about what they are doing and not worring about what lifes gonna be like in 5 years when the economy falls out from underneath us and silly little stuff like this is not an issue.. everyone's so worried about what others are doing while sitting there judging and condemning everyone else's actions...well look in the frickin mirror, is your life so perfect that you rate a place in hell already..

Oh who cares. People die from the flu every year, this is just anoth big media hype. Remember bird flu? Let the girl say what she wants. It's not like she's making fun of the AIDs virus or poverty. This isn't a race thing either so stop making it that. If your friend did the same you wouldn't give a sh*t and who is she? a singer, not anyone important so who cares?

Swine Flu is not that big of a deal. In North America it's not even considered a severe flu. The reason many have died in Mexico is because they don't have the same resources to treat it. Not many people have died from it here and from what I understand, the people who have died had pre-existing conditions. So Katy Perry bought a ring, it's not that big of a deal. Get over it.
