Katy Perry Wants British Citizenship

Katy Perry has announced that once she marries fiance Russell Brand, she will apply for English citizenship.
The pop star may be a “California Gurl” but she told MTV UK she hopes to be an official denizen of England, Brand’s native land:
When I get married next month, one of the first things I’ll do is apply for dual citizenship. I’m not too sure if I have to take a test as I’ve not had time to look into it. But England is like my second home.
Hmm, maybe Katy’s dual citizenship dreams explain the UK/American flag dress she wore earlier this summer?
Katy’s and Russell plan to wed in highly-anticipated ceremony in October.

im american and just got married and moved to england. hmm she obviously doesn’t know the rules. i can apply for citizenship after 2 years and yes, you have to take a test.
