Kelly Osbourne Back in Rehab
So far, 2009 is shaping up to be a tumultuous year for Kelly Osbourne.
First the 24-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne was arrested in January for allegedly slapping Mirror UK gossip columnist Zoe Griffin during a scuffle at London nightclub Punk on August 29.
Now, Radar Online reports, Kelly has entered a rehab facility for 30 days.
"Yeah, Kelly's in rehab," Osbourne's mom, 56-year-old Sharon, tells the Web site. "What else can we say? She knew that it was the right thing to do at this point and we're proud that she did it. The family is all standing behind her. Kelly knew that she needed help and she's getting it."
This is the third stint in rehab for Obsourne, who's engaged to marry 19-year-old British model Luke Worrell. In April 2004, she entered the Malibu facility Promises for an addiction to painkillers. After a June 2005 relapse, it was off to Pasadena drug-treatment center Las Encinas Hospital.
Sharon Osbourne didn't reveal the location of the facility Kelly is staying at, saying only that it's not in the Los Angeles area. (Though some sources claim that she'll be doing her month-long bid at Hazelden Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center in Newberg, Oregon.)
Nor did she reveal the nature of her daughter's current affliction.
"Kelly will tell you herself when she gets out," Sharon said. "We just pray that everything's going to be okay."
Let's hope that the third time's a charm for Kelly, and that she doesn't encounter any more stumbles on her path toward sobriety.
