How does a guy win over Khloe Kardashian‘s heart? Apparently, with alcohol—lots and lots of alcohol.
TMZ reports that Kardashian and Odom—who are due to marry on Sunday, following a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it courtship—initially hooked up because Los Angeles Laker Odom decided to pick up her $3,000 bar tab.
And no, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians gal didn’t down all that hooch herself.
The spark of love was first ignited on August 27, when Kardashian hosted a “Welcome to Los Angeles” party for newly signed Laker Ron Artest at Hollywood watering hole Halo. For whatever reason—perhaps because he’s making astronomical amounts of money at this point—Odom chose to foot the bill for the soiree.
And the rest, as they say, is celebrity-romance history.
Recalls a close Kardashian associate,
“At first, she wasn’t going to do the event … but she literally met her husband there. And yes, he paid for everything.”
And so alcohol preserves its solid track record of facilitating hook-ups throughout the history of mankind. Sigh; isn’t it romantic?
