Kiefer Sutherland is ready to face the consequences of being a butt-head.

The BBC reports that the 42-year-old actor surrendered himself to police at the 1st Precinct of the NYPD on Thursday after allegedly head-butting designer Jack McCollough during an altercation at an after-party for the Met Costume Gala in New York on Monday.

The man who plays Jack Bauer wasn't arrested, but he was charged with assault and is expected back in court to face the charge on June 22.

If found guilty, Sutherland could be found in violation of his parole stemming from his prior DUI sentence. Prosecutors could theoretically send the actor back to jail, which would entail a delay in filming for the next season of his TV series 24.
