Happy Birthday, Quentin Tarantino!

Fast forwarding six years — that’s how long it took to write the script— Tarantino released not one, but two more films: Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.   The revenge flick was developed during the making of Pulp Fiction while Tarantino and Uma Thurman began talking about the kinds of movies that they would like to do in the future.  In fact, Thurman actually came up with the film’s opening shot of her beaten up in a wedding dress. Combined, the original draft of the two scripts was about 220 pages, and it continued to grow as Tarantino wrote new scenes during production.  Overall, the gory flicks used over 450 gallons of fake blood.
