Kirsten Talks Depression...and Ryan Gosling

Fresh from a stay at the Cirque Lodge treatment facility in Sundance, Utah, Kirsten Dunst wants you to know the truth...her truth. The 26-year-old actress told E! Online that despite rumors she was being aided with substance and alcohol abuse, the reason for her visit was depression.

According to Dunst, she sought help at her doctor's recommendation and with the support of friends and family. And now, she's speaking out in hopes of putting an end to all the speculation.

"There's been a lot of misrepresentation about what is going on in my life, and it’s been very painful for my friends and family. Everyone feels like they have to defend me. They hear the rumors, and it puts them in a defensive position. Now that I'm feeling stronger, I was prepared to say something," Dunst said.

Kirsten claims that her six-month deal with Miu Miu came to an end when her contract ended, and neither she nor the fashion line had any intention of extending it, despite talk that her stay at the lodge was a factor in that decision.

For now, Kirsten is keeping busy on the set of her film All Good Things, but as Hollywood would have it, she's facing new rumors—this time that she is romantically involved with a costar. "I am not dating Ryan Gosling!" she emphatically said.

But she is getting punched in the face, at least that much is clear.
